Brian joined the sports medicine staff in August 2006. He is primarily responsible for overseeing medical care for football and cheerleading. He previously worked with field hockey, tennis, and golf.

Brian received his B.S. in Athletic Training from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2004. While at Duquesne, Brian was a student intern with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the 2003 season. He went on to earn a Master's of Science degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Old Dominion University in 2006. He completed his master's project entitled "Assessment of Postural Stability Scores using the Balance Error Scoring System (BESS) in On-Field vs. Clinical Setting". While at Old Dominion, Brian worked with men's basketball, men's soccer, and baseball.

Brian is certified with the National Athletic Trainers' Association. A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Beck resides in Richmond with his wife Kristin and their dog, Zander.
