Spiders Unveil Plans To Celebrate Final Football Season At UR Stadium

UR Stadium - the venerable home to Spider Football for eight decades - has its final days in sight. The Athletic Department has announced plans to commemorate the Stadium's final season in 2009, before moving on campus to a $25 million venue for the 2010 campaign.

University of Richmond Director of Athletics Jim Miller announced Tuesday that the contract of head football coach Mike London has been extended through the 2014 season. London '83 guided his alma mater to the 2008 Division I National Championship in his first year as a head coach.
Spiders Have 15 Playing In Summer Collegiate Baseball Leagues

The Richmond baseball team has 15 current players in the summer collegiate leagues across the country, including seven in the Valley Baseball League and, for the second-straight year, a representative in the prestigious Cape Cod League.
