
Willis Named To Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team
May 18, 2007 UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Junior Hunter Willis was named to the Atlantic 10 Men's Track & Field Academic All-Conference Team in voting conducted among the conference's sports information directors. Willis finished second in the 10,000-meter run at the 2007 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships in a time of 31:08.44 and placed fifth in the 5,000 run at the 2007A-10 Indoor Championship in a time of 14:56.80. The history major won the 5,000 run at the New Balance Indoor Games in a time of 15:28.04 and took second in the 5,000 run outdoors at the University of Richmond's Fred Hardy Invitational in a time of 14:59.41. Willis also finished eighth in the 10,000 outdoors at the University of Tennessee's Sea Ray Relays in 30:38.63. The Atlantic 10 Men's Track & Field Academic All-Conference Team is selected from student-athletes who are key contributors in indoor and outdoor track & field and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Willis was one of 16 student-athletes selected for the honor.
