Cross Country Sets For A-10 Championship Saturday

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The Richmond men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championships Saturday at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, Pa. The men's race begins at 10 a.m. with the gun for the women's race going off at 10:45.

The Spider women are tied for first with Charlotte in the latest A-10 Coaches' Poll, while the men are fifth. The 30th A-10 Men's Championship has La Salle as its defending championship while the 19th A-10 Women's Championship also sees the Explorers as its defending champ.

With 81 points in 2006, Richmond was last year's women's runner-up and were the team champions in 2003.

Sophomore Matt Llano leads the men in Saturday's race, while junior Kylee Schuler will pace the women. Both Llano and Schuler have been Richmond's top finishers at every meet this fall.
