2009 (Junior): Made 13 appearances for the Spiders with one start and fanned 11 in 18.0 innings of work... Picked up his first save as a Spider in a 9-6 win at George Washington... Fanned three in two innings of middle relief to help preserve a 2-1 win at VMI... His only start of the year came at Old Dominion late in the season. 2008 (Sophomore): Finished the season 3-6 in the Spiders' weekend rotation... Started nine of his 15 appearances and pitched 56.1 innings in 2008... Owned a 7.03 ERA... Went 12.1 consecutive innings with no earned runs allowed in back-to-back conference starts versus George Washington and Xavier... The Spiders dropped the GW game 6-5, but Bard was credited with the victory over the Musketeers... Fanned a season-high five in 5.1 innings against the Colonials... Picked up the win in a season-high 7.1 innings of work against St. Bonaventure. 2007 (Freshman at UNC): Made five appearances and one start for the Tar Heels... Owned a 6.75 ERA... Struck out five in 5.1 innings. High School and Personal: Four-year standout at Charlotte Christian... Two-time All-State selection and led team to three state titles... Three-time All-Conference and two-time All-Mecklenburg choice... All-Charlotte Observer and NCISAA Conference Player of the Year in 2006... Team captain as a senior...
