MLB Draft History: Selected by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 47th round of the 2007 draft but did not sign. 2009 (Sophomore): Opened the season strong with 10 strikeouts over his first 7.2 innings pitched (two games)... Tied his career-high with five K's in both those appearances versus Niagara and VMI... Picked up his first college win by throwing 1.2 scoreless frames with three K's in a 12-7 victory over Old Dominion... Got the start versus Bryant and went a career-long 5.0 innings and allowed just a run with three strikeouts, but got the no-decision in a 4-2 loss. 2008 (Freshman): Saw action on the mound, in the field and made five starts at DH for the Spiders as a freshman... Played in 14 games and batted .270 with two RBI and four runs scored... Pitched 14.1 innings and fanned 12 against five walks... Struck out four in 4.1 innings during his second career start at Norfolk State. High School: Listed on the roster as both an outfielder and right-handed pitcher ... Batted .432 as a senior and was 6-2 on the mound with a 0.70 ERA... A First Team All-Conference and All-County selection... Belted five homers and collected 32 RBIs...
