2008 (Freshman): Started 36 games as a freshman with 35 of those starts in the outfield... Batted .255 for the season... Scored 34 runs to go along with 24 RBI, six doubles and three homers... Owned a 13-game hitting streak midseason which ranked as the fourth-longest for the Spiders in 2008... Belted one of Richmond's four grand slams last season (vs. George Washington). High School and Personal: Team MVP and All-District performer... Led his team with a .417 average as a senior with 11 doubles and 26 steals in 29 attempts... A two-way player... Fanned 82 (against 22 walks) in 63 innings during his senior campaign, while posting a 2.00 ERA... Of his 45 hits as a senior, 17 went for extra bases (11 doubles, three homers and three triples)... Batted .420 during his junior campaign with 20 steals and was 8-2 with 65 strikeouts in 55 innings on the mound. |
