UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Senior Michael Galligan's (Woodbury, N.Y.) fifth multiple-run game of the season helped lift Richmond to its 11th-straight home win, 3-2, over Radford. The Spiders improve to 14-2, while Radford falls to 4-7 on the season.

After Radford scored the game's first run in the top of the second on a Matt Mantione sacrifice fly, the 10th-ranked Spiders answered in the bottom of the frame. Galligan belted a double into the left field fence, plating junior centerfielder A.J. Board (Raleigh, N.C.).

Radford's Stuart Ritchie gave the Highlander's a 2-1 lead in the third, touching home on an Alan Ashworth sacrifice fly.

Richmond did not rest, as Galligan, who reached on a walk, scoring on a Chris Dolan (Holmdel, N.J.) double into left field. Galligan added his second run in the sixth, breaking the 2-2 tie, when he stole second and scored on an error by Radford's Ritchie.

Sophomore southpaw Tim Rice (Brookfield, Conn.) started for Richmond, allowing only one hit in 5.0 innings. Rice struck out two, while walking one Highlander. Right-hander Jason Bolinski (Hockessin, Del.) fanned six in 4.0 innings of work to earn the win. Bolinski (2-0) allowed only one hit.

Radford's Nathan Stark (0-1) took the loss in his first appearance of the season. Freshman Justin Morgan posted his first collegiate start, striking out two in 4.1 innings.

Richmond returns to Pitt Field, tomorrow, Wednesday, March 19 at 2:30 p.m. against Towson.
