DAYTON, Ohio - Richmond completed the three-game series sweep of Dayton with a 10-5 win at Stuart Field. After Richmond's Mike McGirr (Lexington, Mass.) struck out three in a no-out, bases loaded first, the Spiders took a two-run lead on a two-out rally in the second. Junior A.J. Board (Raleigh, N.C.) singled up the middle to start things off. Catcher Adam Tidball (Bethesda, Md.) stroked a single into left field keeping the frame alive. Board scored on a Bobby LeNoir (Wilmington, Del.) single and then Bryan Pritz (Wilmette, Ill.) singled to plate Tidball for a 2-0 lead.

In the third, Richmond added two runs for a 4-0 lead. Senior shortstop David Reaver (Union Bridge, Md.) led off with a single to left field. Third baseman Ben Zeskind (Miami, Fla.) beat out a bunt and advanced Reaver to third on a throwing error by Dayton pitcher Tim Miller. Fasano stroked a single to shallow right field scoring Reaver. Zeskind then touched home on a Vito Chiaravalloti (Middletown, N.J.) groundout. Dayton responded in its half of the frame with a two-run home run by Patrick Flynn.

In the fifth, with two-outs, Fasano launched his ninth home run of the season over the center field fence for a 5-2 lead. The Spiders added four more runs for a 9-2 lead in the sixth. After stealing second and third, LeNoir touched home on a Reaver single. Reaver advanced to third on a Zeskind infield single and then scored on a throwing error by the Flyers' Jeff Bourassa. Zeskind touched home on a Fasano single to right. Left fielder Michael Galligan (Woodbury, N.Y.) drove in Fasano for the ninth run on a single to left center.

Richmond added a 10th run in the eighth for a five-run advantage. Fasano knocked his third single of the day to plate Zeskind.

Spider righty McGirr (4-1) fanned nine in 5.0 innings for his fourth win. He allowed five hits and two earned runs. Dayton's Miller fell to 2-5 with the loss. Dayton tacked on one run in the sixth and two in the seventh.
