ESPN.com ranked the Richmond men's basketball program as the 65th most prestigious men's college basketball program in the country since the 1984-85 season, the year the NCAA Tournament expanded to 64 teams.

Based on a numerical point system and with no bias involved, ESPN ranked the Top-300 and will continue to unveil it this week. Richmond will be the fourth-highest ranked Atlantic 10 program, behind Xavier, Massachusetts, Temple and Saint Joseph's. The Spiders finished ahead of such schools as West Virginia, Boston College, Virginia, Charlotte, Notre Dame, VCU, DePaul, Vanderbilt, Tennessee and George Mason and Dayton.
