2008: Enters his junior campaign as the Spiders' career record-holder in completion percentage at 60.6 pct. (348-of 574)... Is seventh all-time in both TDs (28) and passing yards (3,765). 2007: Enjoyed a breakout season as a sophmore, proving his threat as both a runner and passer, while spearheading one of the nation's most explosive offenses... The Spiders finished 16th nationally and third in CAA Football in scoring offense (34.9 points/game) and ranked 31st nationally and fourth in the league in total offense (405.4 yards/game)... Set career-highs in every offensive category... His 2,341 passing yards stands as the fourth-best single-season performance in school history, while his 216 completions set a new school record... If 2007 was his "breakout" season, his "breakout" game came in the NCAA Semifinals versus Appalachian State when a national TV audience watched Ward throw for 208 yards and three TDs and run for 79 and two more TDs... Was tabbed with his first career CAA Offensive Player of the Week award after throwing for 199 yards, along with career-highs in TD passes (four) and rushing yards (81)... Ward was 11-for-23 for 120 yards and a touchdown through the air, while running for 14 yards on nine carries against the Blue Devils... In his final game of the 2006 season, Ward completed a season-high 21 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns against William & Mary, on his way to another Rookie of the Week honor...
