If 2007 was his "breakout" season, his "breakout" game came in the NCAA Semifinals versus Appalachian State when a national TV audience watched Ward throw for 208 yards and three TDs and run for 79 and two more TDs... The Atlanta, Ga., native who started 10 of Richmond's 11 games, also rushed for 130 yards on 57 carries and scored two touchdowns on the ground... Ward was named A-10 Rookie of the Week twice during the season... His first honor was on the heels of leading the Spiders to a 13-0 win at Division I Duke to open the season... Ward was 11-for-23 for 120 yards and a touchdown through the air, while running for 14 yards on nine carries against the Blue Devils... In his final game of the 2006 season, Ward completed a season-high 21 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns against William & Mary, on his way to another Rookie of the Week honor...
