UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Former University of Richmond football players Adam Goloboski and Judd Altman have each been invited by the Cincinnati Bengals to the team's mini-camp this weekend in Cincinnati. Goloboski, a linebacker, and Altman, an offensive lineman, wrapped up their Spider careers in 2006. A free agent contract could be offered to each at the end of camp.

"We're obviously very proud and excited for Adam and Judd," said head coach Dave Clawson. "We are confident they will represent the University of Richmond very well and wish them the best of luck."

Altman, a senior captain last season, anchored an offensive line that allowed just 15 sacks, third fewest in the Atlantic 10. Altman also helped the Spiders gain 3,860 yards of total offense which is the 10th-best total in Richmond football history. The 6-5, 325-pound native of Burke, Va. was named the Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State Team.

A First Team All-Atlantic 10 selection in 2006, Goloboski ended his collegiate career by garnering 100+ tackles in three-straight seasons, and recorded 20 games of 10-or-more tackles. The Hereford, Md., native made 108 stops in 2006, after garnering 131 in the 2005 and 116 in 2004. The two-time A-10 first team selection ended his career with a total of 406 tackles, the fourth-best total in Richmond history. His 9.8 tackles per game average at the end of the 2006 season were third-best in the conference, garnering 56 solo tackles and 52 assisted stops.

Former Richmond QB Stacy Tutt '05 remains on the New York Jets active roster as a fullback. LB Shawn Barber `97 is with the Houston Texans, while LB Paris Lenon `99 is on the Detroit Lions roster.
