Richmond/James Madison Football Game Moved To 3:30 P.M.

July 9, 2008

2008 Richmond Football Schedule

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond announced Wednesday that the football start time versus James Madison at UR Stadium on October 11 has been changed to 3:30 p.m. due to television obligations with CAA Football and Comcast SportsNet.

The game was originally set for noon on Comcast SportsNet, but was moved to 3:30 p.m. to allow a CAA Football "tripleheader" along the Comcast family of networks that day. The noon game on the CSN package is Massachusetts at Northeastern, followed by the Spiders and Dukes at 3:30 p.m. At 6 p.m. that evening, CN8 airs Maine at Delaware.

That game is one of six television broadcasts for the reigning CAA champs and NCAA semifinalist Spiders in 2008. Richmond's TV slate kicks off on ESPNU Sept. 6 at Virginia at 3:45 p.m. The game marks Richmond football's first regular-season national-television broadcast.

Kickoff times for all 12 Richmond games are now available at RichmondSpiders.com.

For the second consecutive season, the CAA and the Comcast family have a partnership unprecedented in FCS football. To date, 23 match-ups involving conference teams will air live this season on Comcast SportsNet or CN8 with two others on ESPNU and one on CBS College Sports.
