Quick Slants:
• No. 9 Richmond heads back on the road Saturday for its second of two-straight Top-10 match-ups versus No. 10 Massachusetts at McGuirk Stadium in Amherst.

• The Spiders are ranked ninth in both polls this week, marking the 12th-consecutive week that Richmond has appeared in the nation's Top-10 -- the third-longest active streak in FCS football.

• The Spiders are looking to bounce back after No. 1 James Madison rallied for 15 points in the final 59 seconds to win 38-31 in front of 16,151 at UR Stadium last Saturday.

• Richmond's two FCS losses this season are by a total of 13 points to teams currently ranked No. 1 (JMU) and No. 7 (Villanova).

• Sophomore CB Justin Rogers has three TDs this season thanks to two interception returns and a fumble return. That ranks as the second-most defensive TDs scored in the NCAA this season.

• With four interceptions this season, Rogers -- the reigning CAA Special Teams Player of the Year -- is tied with eight other FCS players for third-most in the nation.

• Junior QB Eric Ward is among the most efficient passers in the FCS and has gone five-consecutive games without an interception.

• Junior PK Andrew Howard currently holds the FCS career record for PAT accuracy (121-of-121) and is five shy of the FCS all-time record for consecutive PATs made.

• The 2008 season marks the 126th season of football at Richmond and is the 40th Anniversary of the 1968 team that finished 8-3 and won the Tangerine Bowl.
