Richmond Announces Local TV Broadcast, Student Bus For App. State Game

RICHMOND - The University of Richmond Athletic Department has negotiated an agreement for Saturday's ESPN Syndication broadcast of the Richmond at Appalachian State FCS Playoff Quarterfinal to be carried live in Richmond and Central Virginia on WUPV Ch. 65 (Comcast Cable Ch. 13). Outside the Richmond market, the game is available on ESPN's GamePlan package and ESPN360.com. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET at Kidd Brewer Stadium in Boone, N.C., with the winner advancing to the FCS Semifinals. The Athletic Department is also sponsoring bus transportation for UR students wishing to attend the game. To ride the bus, students must come in person with valid student ID to the Robins Center Ticket Office and purchase a $5 game ticket. The sign-up will end when two buses are full, or at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5th. The seats on the bus are on a first-come, first-serve basis. The bus departs campus early Saturday morning and returns immediately following the game. Tickets for Saturday's game can be purchased by calling the Robins Center Ticket Office at 1-877-SPIDER-1.
