Utley Named To Academic All-Conference Team

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond junior Jordan Utley was named to the Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Academic All-Conference Team, in voting by the conference's sports information directors.

Utley was one of six men's golfers to earn Academic All-Conference honors. The accounting major is a Dean's List student at Richmond, who was second in scoring average for the Spiders (74.18).

The Richmond, Va. native was the medalist at the Joe Agee Invitational hosted by William & Mary, shooting a 66-71-68. Utley finished in the top 20 in all six tournaments he played in this spring, including a ninth-place finish at the Lacrosse Homes Invitational and a 10th-place finish at the Cavalier Classic.

Utley earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors in 2006, was named first-team all-state by the Virginia Golf Coaches Association and was named to the PING Mid-Atlantic All-Region team.

The Spiders finished fourth at the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championship.
