UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond senior Jordan Utley was selected to the Cleveland Golf Academic All-American Scholar Team for the second-straight year.

To be eligible for Cleveland Golf's All-America Scholar status, the student-athlete must have a stroke average of under 76.0 in Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.2. The recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

Utley led the Spiders in scoring average this spring at 72.75, which ranked fourth in the Atlantic 10. He shot 10 of his 26 rounds below par and finished four tournaments sub-par. Utley had four top-5 finishes and seven top-10 finishes in 2007-08.

"Jordan made success a priority both on the course and in the classroom," Richmond head coach Adam Decker said. "He had a tremendous career at Richmond and receiving this honor the last two years is a tribute to his character and work ethic."

The accounting major, who graduated in May, finished his career with two tournament victories, winning the ODU/Seascape Invitational last fall and the Joe Agee Invitational in the spring of 2007.

The former Mills Godwin High standout was also recently named to the prestigious PING All-Mid Atlantic Region Team for a third time and earned Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference honors for the second-straight year.

Utley shot 8-under 208 (70-69-69) to place fourth at this spring's Atlantic 10 Tournament and earn all-conference honors. He also was named to the VaSID All-State Team for the second-straight year.
