UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - University of Richmond senior Colin Vint (Fairfax, Va.) and sophomore Eric Sciocchetti (Wallingford, Pa.) were named to the 2005 Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer All-Conference Second-Team and senior Chris Lahoud (Fort Worth, Texas) was selected to the Academic All-Conference Team.

Vint earns all-conference honors for the third-straight, while Sciocchetti makes his first appearance on the All-Atlantic 10 team, which is selected by the conference coaches. For Lahoud, this is the second selection to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team, which is picked by the conferences sports information directors.

"With the record that we had this season, I was excited to see three of our players get recognized for individual conference honors," Richmond head coach Jeff Gettler said.

Vint tied for the team lead in goals (3), assists (4) and points (10) this season and finished his career 10th in school history with 21 career goals and 11th on the all-time points list with 55. The four-year starter played in 71 games in his career, starting 61. He earned First-Team All-Atlantic 10 honors in both 2003 and 2004 and was named to the NSCAA/Adidas All-South Atlantic Third-Team as a sophomore. This is the fourth year Vint has earned Atlantic 10 Conference honors as he was named to the All-Rookie Team as a freshman.

"Colin Vint has a future in this game if he chooses to," Gettler said. "It's great to see him earn all-conference honors for three-straight years."

Sciocchetti joins Vint on the All-Atlantic 10 Second-Team after posting a 1.32 goals against average and .806 save percentage in 17 games this season. He was named to the all-tournament team at VCU's Nike/ALLTELL Classic after making 11 saves against North Carolina and made a career-high 13 saves in a 1-1 tie with Dayton. Sciocchetti also made 10 saves against Lehigh and nine vs. Saint Louis. He held opponents to one goal or less in 12 of his 17 games.

"Eric continued to improve throughout the season," Gettler said. "He really made strides in his game this season and his statistics reflect that improvement."

Lahoud returns to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team after earning the honor in 2003. The four-year starter played in 68 games, starting 66 in his career. The defender scored a goal and had an assist for three points this year and was the leader of a defense that allowed just 24 goals in 18 games, holding opponents to one goal or less in 13 of 18 contests. Lahoud, who has the highest GPA of any senior at the University, finished his career with eight goals - including two game winners - and eight assists for 24 points.

"Chris couldn't be a better representative of the all-academic team," Gettler said. "He is everything I've ever looked for in what the true definition of a student-athlete should represent."

Richmond finished the 2005 season with a 4-8-6 record, which included one stretch where the Spiders only lost once in 10 games.
