UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The Richmond women's basketball team welcomed 40 campers in June, ages 8-17, for a day camp where campers worked with current players and staff members.

While learning basketball skills, the campers also enjoyed themed days including Crazy Hair Day, MisMatch Day, and Richmond Spider Day. Campers also participated in drills focusing on shooting, ball-handling and defensive fundamentals.

There are still spots open for the second day camp which will run July 21 through July 24 at the Robins Center. A typical day will include drills, chalk talks, scrimmages, competitions and other activities focused on a players' all-around game.

Registration will be held from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. on Monday, July 21. The camp will run from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
