KINGSTON, R.I. - The Richmond field hockey team heads to New England to face Rhode Island on Friday at 3:30 p.m. and Massachusetts on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Spiders are 3-1 in the Atlantic 10, coming off a 1-0 overtime victory over La Salle on Sunday. Richmond has won 45 of its last 46 games against Atlantic 10 competition as the Spiders go for their sixth-straight Atlantic 10 regular-season and tournament titles.

The Rams are 7-6 overall and 1-3 in the Atlantic 10 after a 6-1 loss to Temple on Sunday. UMass enters the weekend at 8-7 overall and 3-1 in the Atlantic 10. The Minutewomen host Saint Louis on Friday.

"I hope this team can develop some much needed consistency in combining two games of solid play," Richmond head coach Gina Lucido said. "As we head into the final weeks of A-10 play, the stakes are high and our opponents are ready to battle for postseason promise. We will have to be at our best mentally and physically in order to stay at the top of the conference."

The Spiders return home to Crenshaw Field to host William & Mary on Thursday and play Saint Louis on Sunday, Oct. 28 in the final home game of the season.
