PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Richmond's field hockey team will look to continue its recent postseason success on Friday at 11 a.m. against Temple in the semifinals of the 2008 Atlantic 10 Tournament.

The Spiders, who have won five of the last six Atlantic 10 Championships, enter the tournament on the strength of five-straight wins against A-10 opponents, the last one coming by the score of 9-0 against Saint Louis.

Richmond finished second in the Atlantic 10 this season with a 5-1 conference mark and has 52 of the last 56 games against Atlantic 10 competition since 2002.

The Spiders are led offensively by freshman Katelin Peterson and senior Megan Thompson, who have combined for 22 goals and 10 assists so far this season. Peterson has been named A-10 Rookie of the Week five times during that span.

The A-10 Tournament is being held at Temple University, and the number two seeded Spiders will take on the number three-seeded Owls at 11 a.m. on their home turf.
