Women's Lacrosse Earns Weekly Honor Roll

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Senior Polly Purcell of the women's lacrosse team earned Player of the Week accolades from the Atlantic 10, as announced by the league today.

Purcell (Ellicott City, Md.) led the Spiders with four goals and six assists in a 16-7 win over A-10 foe Saint Joseph's on May 2nd. She tied the single-game program mark for points in a game (10) and assists in a game (6), which were both last set in 1995. Purcell tallied a team-leading 39 goals and 20 assists this season and finishes her career at Richmond tied as the program's all-time leader in points with 196. This is her second Player of the Week award of the season.
