UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Freshman Caitlin Fifield was selected to the WomensLacrosse.com All-Rookie Team this past weekend. Fifield, an attack from North Babylon, N.Y., also earned A-10 All-Rookie honors as Richmond's third leading scorer.

Fifield finished the 2009 season third on the team in goals (35) and ground balls (23). Fifield was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week (3/30) after scoring a career-high four goals in wins over St. Bonaventure (3/27) and Duquesne (3/29). Fifield also tied a season-high with three goals at George Washington (4/10).

Fifield won a team-best six draw controls on three occasions, and led the team with 51 on the season. Fifield joined 15 other Division I lacrosse players on the All-Rookie Team. Fifield was the lone member from the Atlantic 10 conference to be honored on the All-Rookie Team.
