UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - University of Richmond women's lacrosse junior Caroline McGuire was one of 12 players named to the 2005 VaSID Association All-State First Team as announced last evening by the organization. McGuire was the only Richmond player recognized by the group.

McGuire started all 17 contests for the Spiders at the attack position and led the team in scoring with 44 goals, including a league high six-game winning tallies. The Atlantic 10 Championship's Most Outstanding Performer recorded seven hat tricks throughout the season while also pacing the Spiders in shots (110), ground balls (49), draw controls (37) and caused turnovers (32). In addition, she finished 16th in the nation in caused turnovers per game (1.9).
