Final Stats

Lexington, Va. - VMI's Chrissy Beach scored the lone goal of game in the 89th minute to defeat the Spiders, 1-0 Sunday afternoon. Twenty-two fouls were whistled between the two teams, and two Keydets were given yellow cards.

Beach scored at the 89th minute unassisted, on a free ball after Richmond keeper Melissa Pacheco swatted the ball away. Richmond dominated the shot category, outshooting the Keydets 22-9.

Junior Nora Mann led the Spiders with seven shots, while freshman Emily Dale added four. Richmond owned the corner kick category, besting VMI 7-2.

Richmond returns to action next Friday, when they travel to Temple. Kick-off is slated for noon.
