Final Stats

Philadelphia, Pa. - Richmond (10-9-1, 4-7) dropped their third straight road game in a 2-0 loss to Saint Joseph's Sunday afternoon. The loss concluded the Spider's 2008 season.

The first goal of the game came at the 20:44 mark when Lauren Sawyer shot the ball into the upper left corner on an assist from Maggie Lupinski.

Four minutes later, an own goal occurred after a Spider defender put the ball in the net on a Hawk's cross attempt.

"The team played incredibly determined," said head coach Peter Albright. "Our second half was as tough as we've played all year. The players are very proud of the way they played, and the University of Richmond would be proud of the way they played."

Senior Sarah Hilt started her first game of the season at goalkeeper. Hilt recorded five saves in the first half. Junior Kelsey Rdzanek started the second half and recorded two saves.
