Women's Soccer Announces 2007 Captains
May 3, 2007 UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond head women's soccer coach Peter Albright announced last week that seniors Ali LeVIne, Carrie Holland and Christine Wrublesky will serve as the Spiders' team captains for the 2007 season. "Throughout the spring, these young women established themselves as the players who build connections on our team, articulate the vision for the upcoming season, and set the standard for performance, attitude and fitness," said Albright. This will be LeVine's second-straight year serving as a co-captain for the Spider squad. A senior back from Avon, N.J., Levine has appeared in every game over the last two seasons, starting all but one contest, and has contributed five goals and five assists throughout her career. Holland, a senior forward, will return to the field in 2007 after being sidelined last season with a knee injury. The native of Pittsfield, Mass. appeared in every game of her freshman and sophomore seasons, starting every contest in 2005. A feisty forward, she has scored five career goals, and added four assists in her time with the Spiders. Wrublesky, a midfielder out of Langhorne, Pa., has been an integral part of the Spiders' squad, starting every game the last two seasons, adding three career goals and being named to the JMU/Comfort Inn Invitational All-Tournament Team in 2006. "I am really excited about the influence that these three will have on our team as we prepare to attack the future," said Albright.
