Oct. 9, 2008

University of Richmond, Va. - Jessie Wolfe has spent the last three seasons feverishly trying to elevate the Richmond women's soccer program to the top of the Atlantic 10. By her own admission, it had not translated into what the kind of success she had hoped for. Until now.

The Spiders are out to a program-best 9-2-1 start to the season, winning six out of their last seven matches, including three in a row. They currently share a place atop the Conference with a 3-1 record and the senior forward from Germantown, Md., has been a big reason why.

Wolfe was chosen as this week's A-10 Spotlight Feature of the Week. The award is given to an outstanding player who shows exemplary leadership on their team. Wolfe's five goals, four of which came in a span of two games, leads the team.
