Philadelphia, Pa. - A direct goal in the 76th minute was enough for Temple to hold on, as they defeated Richmond, 1-0 Friday afternoon. The loss dropped the Spiders to 10-8-1 overall and 4-6 in conference play.

The unassisted direct kick from the left side of the goal came at the 76:12 mark by Temple back Cori Gallagher.

"We're just decimated by injuries," head coach Peter Albright said. "We weren't able to create enough chances to get the win. Kate Rutkowski and Kristy Schmitt played excellent defense and really gave us two strong performances."

Senior Jessie Wolfe led the Spiders with five shots.

The Spiders travel across town to face-off against Saint Joseph's on Sunday afternoon. Kick-off is slated for 2:30 p.m.
