Wolfe And Hilt Garner All-Conference Honors

Nov. 6, 2008

University of Richmond, Va. - Senior Jessie Wolfe made the Atlantic-10 All-Conference First Team, while Senior Sarah Hilt was named as an Atlantic-10 Honorable Mention. Wolfe, a native of Germantown, Md. led the Spiders with seven goals and 63 shots. Hilt, a native of Chesterfield, Va. led the Spiders with eight assists and 18 points.

Hilt's eight assists moved her to second all-time with assists in a single season. Hilt has been an integral part of both the offense and defense, and was 2-2 in penalty kicks this year.

"We are really proud of Jessie and Sarah," said head coach Peter Albright. "Sarah has been a terrific left-sided attacking player, creating dozens of great chances and assisting on many of our goals."

Wolfe's storied career ends with 240 shots, which moved her to second all-time in career shots. Her seven goals on the year is a career-high, while her goal total moved to 19 which places her fifth all-time in career goals.

"Jessie Wolfe has had an amazing career," said Albright. "She has never missed a practice or game in four years," said Albright. "She sets the standard for fitness, toughness, skill and leadership by example. She is one of the best midfielders I have ever coached and certainly the best I saw this year. Both Jessie and Sarah will be greatly missed, but they leave a legacy of skill and achievement that others will work to reach."

The Spiders ended their season with a 10-9-1 record. The ten overall victories is the program's most since 2004.
