UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - This past fall the women's soccer team donated Richmond uniforms through Carl Sundin, a solider currently based in Iraq. In conjunction with the Spider's supplies, the River Road Presbyterian Church also sent goods oversees.

American soliders use the donated uniforms and equipment to jump start youth soccer leagues in the area in which they're stationed.

"I know that we all hope and pray for peace in Iraq and the safe return of our troops," said head coach Peter Albright. "I am so happy to be able to help our troops in their efforts to create an alternative to the violence that these people face every day."
