Final Stats

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va.-Junior Erin Lears (Towson, Md.) won the first of ten individual event for the University of Richmond's women's swimming team, that led to wins over Wagner, 159-106 and Wingate, 157-112, yesterday at the Robins Center Natatorium.

Lears took first in the 1650 free at 17:34.29. Sophomore Brooke Boncher (West Newbury, Mass.) finished first in the 100 free (51.76) and 100 breast (1:06.80).

The 200-medley team of seniors Calla DeRuosi (Richmond, Va.), Casey Dluhos (Richmond, Va.) and Maureen Sabri (Chambersburg, Pa.) and junior Laura Thomas (Sydney Australia) finished first at 1:51.04. DeRuosi also finished first in the 50 free (25.67) and 200 breast (2:27.90).

Freshman Michelle Coombs (Newburgh N.Y.) claimed the 100 and 200 backs in 58.77 and 2:07.37, respectively.

Other top-finishers were junior Mary Adams (Williamsburg, Va.) in the 400 IM (4:24.69), sophomore Anne Kirchner (Winter Park, Fla.) in the 200 fly (2:08.04) and freshman Holly Hinds (Andover, Mass.) in the 1:54.57.

The Spiders face George Washington at home at 4 p.m. on Jan. 28th.
