UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - Katie Sieben earned her fifth career Atlantic 10 weekly award as the junior was named the Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week on Monday. Sieben won the 100 fly in the Spiders' season-opening meet at Penn State last Friday.

Sieben captured gold in the 100 fly (55.83) and placed second in the 50 free (24.23), but Richmond dropped a 175-82 decision at No. 19 Penn State. The Seymour, Conn. native also anchored the 400 free (3:34.66) and 400 medley (3:53.05) relays.

The Nittany Lions extended their dual-meet winning streak to 27-straight with last Friday's win over the Spiders in Happy Valley.

Sieben was twice named Rookie of the Week on her way to the A-10 Championship's Most Outstanding Rookie honor in 2006-07 and captured two more Performer of the Week awards last season.

Richmond returns to action Nov. 7 at William & Mary.
