UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND - Richmond freshman Charlotte Brackett was named the Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week on Monday after an impressive performance in the Spiders' dual meet at William & Mary last Friday.

The rookie from Bethel Park, Pa. turned in trio of gold-medal performances against the Tribe, winning the 50 free (24.03), the 100 free (52.56) and swimming on the first-place 200 medley relay (1:46.69).

Her time in the 50 free currently ranks as the seventh-fastest in school history.

William & Mary took the meet by a narrow, 167.5-126.5 margin.

The award is the second weekly honor for Richmond this season after junior Katie Sieben was tabbed the Performer of the Week on Oct. 27.

The seven-time defending A-10 Champion Spiders return to action Nov. 20-21 at the Terrapin Invitational hosted by the University of Maryland.
