RICHMOND, Va. - In tri-meet action, the University of Richmond synchronized swimming team swept two competitions today at the Robins Center Pool, defeating Wheaton College (89-76) and Mary Washington College (89-64).

The Spiders posted four first place finishes against Mary Washington as newcomer Mary Haeuser (San Antonio, Texas) won the solo competition, while sophomore Julia Conn (Andover, Mass.) teamed with freshman Lauren Gustafson (East Amherst, N.Y.) to claim the duet competition. Hauser paired with freshmen Asha Bandal (St. Paul, Minn.) and Ann Masterman (Paston, Mass.) to claim the trio event. The sophomore trio of Katie Albrecht (Akron, Ohio), Kelly Lighthall (Oswego, N.Y.) and Schyler Reese (Carlise, Pa.) took home second place in the event. Richmond also had the top two finishes in team competition.
