Spiders Fall To Ohio State, 87-80

RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond synchronized swimming team dropped an 87-80 decision to Ohio State on Saturday morning at the Robins Center Pool.

Newcomers Lauren Gustafson and Mandy Haeuser combined to win the trio competition. Haeuser continued her outstanding performances in solo competition, claiming second place in the event. Gustafson teamed with sophomore Julia Conn and Courtney Sullivan to notch a third place finish in trios, while freshmen Asha Bandel and Ann Masterman were third in duet competition.

In team competition, the Spiders recorded third and fourth place fiishes in the event.

The Spiders return to action on Saturday, February 24, visiting the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
