AS A FRESHMAN IN 2008-09: Recorded singles win over UMass' Lauren MacKay (3-6, 6-3, 6-2)...defeated JMU's Anna Khoor/Kelly Maxwell at No. 2 doubles...went 5-2 in the fall with wins over Elon, Hofstra and Morgan State.

HIGH SCHOOL: named MVP, All-Section and All-League...first female player from John Jay High School to compete at state tournament...was undefeated individually and as team for two consecutive years...two-time captain...played #1 singles for five straight years.

PERSONAL: Born March 8, 1990...daughter of Scott and Diane Crystal...has two brothers, James (twin) and Nicholas...leader of Camp Sunshine, an organization that raises money for children with cancer.
