FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The women's tennis team cruised past NOVA Southeastern, 7-2 over the weekend. With the win, the Spiders improved to 8-2 on the season.

The Spiders swept in doubles action with Pamela Duran/Erin Clark, Ashlee Vosters/Kelly Tidwell and Xenia Schneider/Helen Cunningham all recording victories.

"I'm happy with the way we adapted to difficult outdoor conditions," said head coach Mark Wesselink. "Hopefully we will continue to improve as we prepare for a strong schedule and A-10's."

In singles action, No.1 Duran def. Talalenko 6-4, 4-3, while No. 3 Tidwell def. Feaster 7-5, 6-4. No.4 Cunningham def. Porizchova 6-3, 6-4 while Joanna Matuszczyk def. Leeder 6-3, 6-4. Vosters rounded out the perfect singles play with a dominating win over Crider.

Richmond continues its spring break action with a match versus Florida Atlantic Tuesday. The match is set for 1:00 p.m.
