University of Richmond, Va. - The Spiders traveled to Williamsburg, Va. this past weekend where they played in the second annual William & Mary Invitational. Senior Pamela Duran posted a 3-1 record in the Flight A bracket and defeated #87 nationally ranked Ragini Acharya of William & Mary.

"I was very happy with how we played in this tournament," said head coach Mark Wesselink. "Duran's already playing some of her best tennis and her win over Archarya was impressive."

"The freshmen got great experience," said Wesselink. "I like how the team is bonding and I was very happy with the team camaraderie. It's a great start to the season and should prepare us to play well in the ODU Invitational this coming weekend."
