Khwan Fore To Miss Four To Six Weeks
10/24/2017 | Men's Basketball
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. --Â Khwan Fore will be out four to six weeks while recovering from a stress reaction in his left tibia, the team announced Tuesday.
Â
Fore, a redshirt junior, is the Spiders leading returning scorer after averaging 11.2 points per game in 2016-17. He was one of two Richmond players to start all 35 games last season along with T.J. Cline.
Â
"Khwan Fore is a tremendous player and person and we're sorry that he's not going to be available for the start of our season," Coach Chris Mooney said. "His absence will give some younger players an opportunity to contribute right away, and we're excited to see what they can do at this level."
Â
The Spiders open their season with home games against Delaware on November 10 and Jacksonville State on November 13 before playing three games in three days at the Cayman Islands Classic from November 20-22. Including Fore, the team returns four of its top six scorers from last year's 22-win team that reached the NIT Quarterfinals.
